Our Affiliate Relationships, Explained Plainly
FitnessLifeMag is a reader-supported site. Some of the links on this site — including product links and “Buy Now” or “Check Price” buttons — are affiliate links. This page explains what that means in plain terms.
What “Affiliate Link” Means
When you click certain links on this site and make a purchase, we may earn a commission from the seller or retailer. This comes at no additional cost to you — the price you pay is the same whether you use our link or go directly to the seller.
How This Affects (and Doesn’t Affect) Our Content
Earning a commission does not change what we write. Our evidence standards, our willingness to point out a product’s limitations, and our conclusions are the same regardless of whether a link on the page is monetized. We do not accept payment in exchange for a positive review, and we do not remove accurate but unflattering information because a company is an affiliate partner.
If we ever recommend a product we do not currently have an affiliate relationship with, we’ll note that it isn’t a monetized link.
Why We Use Affiliate Links
Affiliate commissions are one of the ways this site is funded, which allows us to research and publish content without charging readers directly. We disclose this relationship because we believe readers deserve to know how a site makes money when evaluating the information on it.
Your Choice
You are never obligated to use our links. If you’d prefer to purchase directly from a seller’s own site without going through an affiliate link, you’re welcome to do so — our review content and conclusions remain the same either way.
Questions
If you have questions about a specific link or relationship on this site, you can reach us via our Contact page.
