Direct answer: The seller’s website label lists 100 mg inulin, a 20 mg proprietary blend with 3.5 billion CFU at manufacture, and a separate 20 mg of Streptococcus salivarius. It does not disclose individual blend amounts, individual strain CFU, or a strain code for the separate S. salivarius.

What does the label disclose?

The label image available on GumAktiv’s site identifies a 30-tablet dietary supplement. Its serving size is one tablet, with 30 servings per container. The figures below are a transcription of a seller-published image inspected October 22, 2026—not a laboratory test or verification of a bottle from a current production lot.

Label entryAmount and disclosureWhat remains unknown
Inulin powder (chicory root)100 mgWhether a current shipped lot matches this image

L. paracasei, L. reuteri, B. lactis BL-04Named within the blendStrain identifiers for the first two; proportions for all three
S. salivariusSeparate 20 mg entryStrain code and CFU count

A total CFU number is not a per-strain dose. Because the blend is proprietary, the label does not allow readers to match a specific amount of each organism to a clinical study. The separate S. salivarius entry also does not identify K12 or M18; results for those named strains cannot be assigned to this unspecified entry.

Why the seller copy and label do not fully match

The seller’s marketing text names malic acid, while the website label image inspected does not list malic acid under Supplement Facts or Other Ingredients. The same marketing list does not fully reflect the separate S. salivarius entry shown on the label. These are document differences; they do not prove that a particular bottle is mislabeled. The current physical package is the relevant source for an individual purchase.

Before deciding, ask the seller for the current package panel and whether the shipped formula includes malic acid, which strains and strain identifiers are present, how the 3.5-billion total is divided, and whether that count is guaranteed through expiration. We did not verify a batch certificate or independent assay.

What the label says about directions and cautions

The image says to take one or two tablets daily, let one melt under the tongue after brushing, and says it may also be chewed or taken with water. The seller FAQ instead recommends one tablet each morning. This is a seller-document discrepancy, not a reason to choose a higher dose. Follow the current bottle and ask a qualified professional when the directions do not fit your situation.

The label advises people who are pregnant or nursing, people under 18, and people with a known medical condition to consult a physician. It also says not to exceed the recommended dose, keep out of children’s reach, avoid use if the safety seal is damaged or missing, and store in a cool, dry place. These are label statements, not proof of product-specific safety testing.

What these ingredients do—and do not—prove

Listing a microorganism does not show that the finished formula produces a particular dental outcome. Probiotic effects can depend on strain and formulation. GumAktiv’s disclosed blend leaves some strain and dose information unavailable, and a trial of a different strain or delivery form cannot establish this product’s effect.

The 3.5 billion CFU statement is a seller label claim at manufacture. It does not, by itself, establish viability through expiry, clinical effectiveness, product quality, or superiority to a product with a smaller number. Similarly, the presence of inulin does not establish that a user will experience a particular microbiome or gum outcome.

Sources and method

We transcribed the seller-published Supplement Facts image and compared it with the seller’s product sales copy on October 22, 2026. We did not purchase or assay the product, authenticate a production batch, or independently verify the company’s formula-control process. Label facts can change; check the physical bottle and current seller documents.

For strain-specific context, see the NIH Office of Dietary Supplements’ probiotic fact sheet, which explains that effects vary by strain and use. That general information does not establish the effects of GumAktiv.
